Mission Employable is a Chorleywood based charity that provides training, education and support for young people with learning difficulties. The charity operates from the cafe on Chorleywood Common, where it offers internships and practical work experience.

Members of the Events Team were proud to select this charity for a £750 donation in 2025.

After a successful St George’s day luncheon 2024, members of the Halsey Hall Events Team went to Watford Mencap to present a cheque for £750 to help with the installation of a new sensory garden. The Events Team were given a tour of the facilities and the garden with a look at the plans for the new garden. The Team also learnt about the work that Mencap do in our local community and how local residents benefit from their work.

Another recent event from Halsey Hall Events Team raised £750 for Watford Street Angels, a group of volunteers who go out at weekends and bank holidays giving assistance to those who may need it after a night on the town. They also deal with injuries (first aid and assistance to call an ambulance) and offer counselling to those suffering upset after a night out.

Playskill was selected by the Halsey Hall Events Team as the main charity for our St. George’s Day 2022 luncheon, where 100 brethren and their guests attended this excellent annual event. Playskill run parent and child term time groups for children with special physical needs.
